Diary of a Wimpy Kid - Hard Luck - Jeff Kinney

I hope you guys all like Diary of a Wimpy Kid cuz I'll be blogging a lot about them. In the last book ( If you don't remember it's The Third Wheel) Greg wants to go to the Valentine's Dance but he doesn't have a girl to go with him. He finally gets a girl named Abbigail to go with him but he has to take Rowley with him. IN the end the "date" totally doesn't work out. Greg has to spend all his money that he had earned on dinner and Abbigail starts flirting with Rowley. So in this book Rowley and Abbigail ( yes I said Rowley and Abbigail) have become a couple! That basically ruins the whole friendship thing between Greg and Rowley. Anyway Rowley and Abbigail win the cutest couple award which ticks Greg off even more! But then get this Abbigail breaks up with Rowley! Even after winning the cutest couple award. That basically puts Rowley and Greg's friendship back in order and they all lived happily ever after. RIght? Maybe not.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid - The Third Wheel - Jeff Kinney

Ah..... what a nice break from classics. I really like these books because they're a mix of a real book and a comic. The most hilarious part has to be when the Mad Panster pantsed Vice Principal McRoy. 

There was also another funny part. It was when Uncle Gary buys this shirt shop from a guy and turns out all the words on the shirts are misspelled!

Mr.Poppers Penguins - Richard and Florence Atwater

This is quite a funny book! Between fighting penguins and a poor man traveling all around the world, you won't be able to tell what's real and what's not! There are 12 penguins living with Mr. Popper, his two kids,and his wife. The strangest thing is that Mr. Popper is able to support that many living things when he is a house painter.

Caddie Woodlawn - Carol Ryrie Brink

The strange thing is I just found out this is a classic. What happened was that I brought the book to school  and one of the teachers remarked, "Oh' you're reading that book, I read it when I was a little kid!" Well, I wasn't that surprised because a lot of the books on the list are classics but still.....

Anyway I just got a little side tracked. This book is pretty interesting and I really like that Caddie (the girl this whole book is about) is friends with the natives that live near her home in Menomonie, Wisconsin. They're actually called savages but I like to call them natives. Her mom is afraid of the Indians. Whenever Indian John (one of Caddie's friends) visits Caddie, her mom always gets scared and gives him whatever food she has available because she thinks he will kill her family. 
Oh which reminds me, I absolutely positively have to tell you one of the things Caddie's mom says." I don't know how you are friends with these savages but if they eat like Indian John does I am positive we will be eaten out of the house." It might not be the exact quote but what she says in the book is something along those lines. 
If you are wondering about Caddie's personality she is a tom boy and she likes to fix clocks!

Ender's Game - Orson Scott Card

  Wow, this is an awesome book!  Exciting, sad, happy, interesting are some of the words to describe this book. For this post, I was thinking of writing some of the good things about Ender's Game and then letting you guys leave comments. For example let's say I wrote " This book is very inspiring." You may leave a comment that says " What is inspiring about this book?". I will answer your questions on my comments page.

1. My favorite characters are Ender and Valentine.
2. Ender has gone through a lot of hardships in his life.              
3. Ender killed the biggest enemy on Earth when he was               eleven.
4. Ender didn't mean to kill the biggest enemy on Earth.
5. Ender's brother, Peter used to skin squirrels alive and watch them die.
